Golden Memories Forever
For anyone with a deep passion for media and journalism, there are certain news personalities whose presence on screen leaves a lasting impression. For me, that voice and guide has always been Sujaya Parvathy (my dear most Chechi). My journey as an avid viewer started years ago when she was presenting on Asianet News. Wherever her career evolved, my viewership followed—from her time at 24 News to Reporter TV, and now to Big TV.
Today, Big TV is a daily constant on my screen, simply because her dedicated journalism and commanding presence continue to inspire me every single day. Moreover, wherever she is feels like home, and Big TV already has so many familiar faces.
Following her work over the years turned into a deep personal respect, especially for her work ethic. I have seen her anchoring even when she was unwell. She might be coughing or dealing with a heavy cold that shows in her voice, yet she sets personal health struggles aside and continues her work with unmatched dedication. That commitment has inspired my own life and work ethic, pushing me never to back down regardless of challenges.
Over the years, watching her daily made her feel like my own elder sister, a warmth that shines through even in our small conversations. Meeting her in person was one of my biggest dreams, and on October 28, 2026, that long-cherished milestone finally became a reality.
Rolling Behind the Scenes for the First Time
Rolling into a newsroom in my wheelchair and getting a firsthand look at a live studio floor and PCR was something I once thought would never be accessible to me. As someone who has always loved media and wished to be a part of it, seeing the inner workings of news production—the control rooms, broadcast setups, and technical gear—was an unforgettable moment for my heart.

What made the experience even more special was how natural it felt. Moving through the newsroom didn’t feel like visiting an unfamiliar location; surrounded by faces I had watched on screen for years, it felt like entering a space where I truly belonged. Beyond that, I was walking through with none other than Sujaya Chechi—the Chief Editor of the channel and Kerala’s first woman Chief Editor. She personally guided me through every department, introducing me to everyone in the office. Having such a renowned media leader walk alongside me and introduce me to her entire team felt greater than receiving any major award.
More Than a Journalist: A Sisterly Bond

While exploring the studio setup was incredible, what touched my soul the most was Sujaya Chechi’s immense kindness, warmth, and affection. I have always looked up to her as my own elder sister, and experiencing that genuine bond in person was completely surreal. Every second spent in her presence was filled with care, encouragement, and hospitality that made me feel right at home.
Chechi didn’t just open the doors of the studio; she opened her heart and turned my dream into reality purely through her generosity.
A Token of My Love: Presenting a Special Portrait

One of the most emotional moments of the day was getting to hand over a special portrait drawing I had brought for her. It was a humble token of my immense love and respect for her journey. Seeing the genuine joy and warmth on her face as she accepted and held the framed drawing is something I will never forget. It was a moment of pure connection, and knowing she cherished it made the entire journey even more meaningful.
Golden Memories to Cherish Forever
This visit was more than just a brief meeting; it was a defining moment in my personal and media journey. Though the visit itself was short, the feeling of mutual respect, sisterly love, and inspiration will remain etched in my heart forever as a true golden memory.
A heartfelt thank you to Sujaya Chechi and the entire Big TV team for making this dream a reality and giving me memories that I will treasure for a lifetime.
